Visit Overview
From April 9 to 11, 2025, a JH Semiconductor team visited the 2025 Shenzhen International Electronics Show and Huaqiangbei Electronics Fair at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. The event brought together numerous upstream and downstream companies in electronics manufacturing, covering the full chain from components and modules to smart devices, and is a useful venue for observing consumer electronics market dynamics.
Industry Observations
Walking the floor, the team noted continued growth in demand for high-capacity storage in consumer electronics, with configurations such as 1TB UFS and large-capacity eMMC appearing in more end products. At the same time, as AI features move down onto end devices, requirements for high-performance memory are rising — running AI models locally consumes noticeably more memory bandwidth and capacity than traditional applications.
Relevance to the Company
Although the company's business centers on enterprise storage and server supply chains, consumer electronics is a major variable in how storage manufacturers allocate capacity. Swings in end-device demand feed through to the supply-demand balance and pricing of upstream storage wafers, and in turn to the supply environment for enterprise products. Tracking storage configuration trends in the consumer market therefore provides useful reference for the company's judgments on stocking pace and cost direction.
