Upgrade Scope
In August 2025, JH Semiconductor completed an electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection upgrade of its Shenzhen warehouse. The work mainly included installing new anti-static flooring, increasing the coverage density of ionizing blowers, updating the temperature and humidity monitoring system, and performing grounding checks on all racks to ensure complete and effective static dissipation paths.
Results
After the upgrade, the warehouse's static protection meets the requirements of the ANSI/ESD S20.20 standard, and temperature and humidity control has been tightened to 22±2°C and 45±5%RH, better safeguarding the quality of memory, storage, and power semiconductor products in stock.
Why ESD Protection Matters
Semiconductor devices are highly sensitive to electrostatic discharge. ESD damage often does not cause immediate failure; instead it leaves latent defects that only surface after a device has been in use at the customer's site for some time — problems that are hard to trace and costly to resolve. Warehouse humidity control is also closely tied to ESD protection: air that is too dry accelerates static buildup, while excess humidity can compromise the safe storage of moisture-sensitive devices. With flooring, ionizers, grounding, and environmental monitoring working in concert, devices remain in a controlled environment from receiving to shipment — one of the foundations of delivery quality.
