The Visit
From March 18 to 20, 2025, the JH Semiconductor team visited LASER World of PHOTONICS CHINA 2025 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. As one of Asia's major events for the laser, optics and photonics industries, the show presented leading technology from optical communications, laser processing and optical inspection, and served as a useful window on semiconductor component demand in these sectors.
Areas of Focus
The team focused on demand for high-performance memory and control chips in optical communication modules and laser processing equipment. Optical communications is a foundational layer of data-center interconnect; as AI clusters keep scaling and optical module speeds keep climbing, demand for high-speed memory and devices such as FPGAs remains substantial. Laser processing equipment, a classic category of industrial machinery with long product lifecycles, has ongoing demand for industrial-grade memory devices with wide operating temperature ranges and stable supply.
Relevance to Our Business
Both categories of demand fall within the company's current product coverage. JH Semiconductor's memory and storage supply-chain services can support component selection and supply for customers in the optical communications and laser equipment industries, and the demand information gathered during the visit will be used to refine stocking and service plans for the relevant product lines.
